GOODREADS

When Morgan de Wolfe, commander of Richmond Castle, is called by his liege Caius d’Avignon (Winter of Solace) into the full-fledged world of the Executioner Knights to go deep under cover, a de Wolfe becomes a Wolfe in sheep’s clothing for the sake of William Marshal and his spy ring.
Will a de Wolfe be the greatest Executioner Knight of all?

Morgan de Wolfe, cousin to Edward de Wolfe, Earl of Wolverhampton (and father of William de Wolfe of
The Wolfe), finds himself the perfect man for an Executioner Knight’s job. Assuming the identity of a dead man, he makes his way to the Welsh border to infiltrate his way into a castle stolen by a Marshal enemy. His task is to use the dead man’s identity to reclaim the castle.
What he didn’t count on was a woman who could quite possibly ruin his mission.
And possibly even his life.

Amarantha de la Haye’s father assumed control of Mount Grace when King John betrayed the owners and confiscated the castle. Unaware of how, exactly, her father came to command the mighty castle and control its silver mine, Amarantha has lived in peace at Mount Grace, an educated and clever young woman but finds herself a pawn of her ambitious father. When a chance meeting with Morgan sees sparks fly between the two of them, she has no idea that she will be the key to Morgan’s mission… and possibly her own destruction.
The Wolfe fangs are sharpening.
Join Morgan and Amarantha on a complex journey of lies, deceit, betrayal, and ultimately the power of love. Will Morgan obey William Marshal? Or will he obey his heart?
Of Mortal Fury is part of the USA Today bestselling Executioner Knights series.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Morgan de Wolfe is given an undercover mission by The Marshal.  A castle was stolen and it assets are too valuable to be left in the enemy's hands.  It's Morgan's job to see it returned to The Marshal's control.
Amarantha de la Haye knows her father is not always the fair and benevolent man he shows her. Apart from pressuring her to marry he normally let's her do as she likes.
This is a wonderful medieval romance from an author who excels in her craft.  She always brings us characters to fall in love with,  and stories we can get our teeth into.  Those of us who have read her books before will know the family names,  but each book is totally different from any other.
There are plenty of giggles to be had, especially in the taverns where battle hardened warriors behave like silly schoolboys. Even one of the tavern signs will bring a giggle.  There are also vicious battles,  lots of danger and even a little sex.
I loved every page and can't wait for more.

WolfeShield (De Wolfe Pack Generations #6) by Kathryn Le Veque. Medieval Romance Release & ARC Review.

Add To

Sometimes, men are impulsive in life and love. When Ronan de Wolfe, son of James de Wolfe (A Wolfe Among Dragons), marries young and impulsively, the consequences will prove to be disastrous when he meets the love of his life.

Will de Wolfe honor stand the test? Or will true love crush a man of good character?

Ronan de Wolfe, the mild-mannered but powerful son of James de Wolfe, married on a whim against the advice of his father and grandfather. He married into the powerful Northumberland de Grey family, a family that rivals the House of de Wolfe in both strength and wealth. Coerced by a cunning de Grey father, Ronan found himself married before he knew what happened.

The years pass. Ronan is married and miserable. His wife has lovers, shaming both houses. Children are born, but they are not Ronan’s. With some measure of peace on the England/Scotland borders, Ronan amuses himself in local tournaments to get away from his horrible home life. Along with his best friend, they enjoy celebrity status of the great tournament champions, but when his friend is mortally wounded and asks Ronan to take care of his pregnant wife, the situation changes drastically.

Ronan meets the woman he should have married.

Isabeth de Brito is a beautiful woman from a minor noble family. Pregnant with her dead husband’s child, she and Ronan form a strong friendship as he tends to her every need, but in Ronan’s case, it is much more. Friendship turns to love. When Ronan’s petty, foolish wife realizes Ronan is paying attention to another woman, innocent as it is, the claws come out. Her powerful family can ruin Isabeth and her family—permanently.

When Ronan’s father is forced into finding Isabeth another husband, Ronan can only stand by and watch the woman he loves as she is courted by another man.

Will there be a happily ever after for Ronan and Isabeth? Or will Ronan have to watch his love marry another?

It’s another wild ride for de Wolfe Pack Generations.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As a young man Ronan de Wolfe was seduced by a high born woman and forced by her powerful family to marry her.  This has proved to be a disaster for him.  He is a proud and honourable man who keeps his vows.  Unfortunately everyone knows his wife is completely opposite.  None of her three daughters belong to him, and she sleeps with any man who takes her fancy.
Our hero tries his best to ignore his wife's behaviour, but there will come a time he can't.
Isabeth de Brito married young.  Her husband worships the ground she walks on,  and she is a grateful and obedient wife.  When her husband dies unexpectedly her life changes drastically. Our heroine might have been treated like fragile glass,  but she is anything but.  Her fire irons occasionally come in handy.
This is a wonderful medieval romance with characters that you will fall in love with easily.  You will need the box of tissues handy.  Our author has the habit of wringing every drop of emotion out of us be it laughter or tears. This book certainly does that.  The de Wolfe family will be very well known to regular readers of this author,  but each family member has a very different story,  and every book is original, thoroughly entertaining and impossible to put down.  You will be very surprised at how this particular love story unfolds.
An absolutely fabulous book.
I loved every page.

The Dark Angel (Battle Lords of de Velt #6) by Kathryn Le Veque. Medieval Romance Release & ARC Review.

Add To

It’s not often the House of de Velt sees both tragedy and comedy, but when Medieval hippies come to call on the darkest lord of all, Julian de Velt gets caught up in the Medieval mayhem…

But he pays a price.

Lista de la Mere is a young woman of beauty, sense, and education. Unfortunately, her mother and her aunt don’t have the same sensibilities. Lista is an heiress, and a very wealthy one, and if her conniving, alcoholic mother and her sly, drug-addicted aunt have anything to say about it, she’s going to marry the man that can provide them with unlimited coinage to feed their habits – and put them back on top of the social hierarchy.

Lista’s mother was a friend of Kellington Coleby de Velt, Julian’s mother, long ago. They pitch Lista to Kellington as a wife for Julian and although Julian has no intention of marrying any time soon, he’s rather intrigued with the lovely, bright young woman who is so capable of drawing him out of his shell.

But Lista’s mother and aunt don’t stop there. It’s their intention to have a bidding war, the prize being Lista, and they pitch Lista to another knight, a man who is friendly until he feels Julian has wronged him. Julian, who is usually shy and quiet, must call forth the inner devil that his father managed to tame so ably to protect what is his.

Now, it’s Julian’s time to rise.

Join introverted, powerful Julian and sweet, intelligent Lista as they battle to save a love that too many people are trying to destroy.

It’s peace, love, chaos and madness in Medieval England!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lady Lista de la Mere is trying to shop and keep her troublesome mother and aunt from causing too many problems in town.  When the women get in the way of an army,  things get really interesting. Our heroine has more than her fair share of responsibility. That's not going to improve very soon.
Sir Julian de Velt finds himself on the sharp side of a lady's tongue when one of his men pushes someone. As a battle hardened warrior from a much feared family, he's not used to anyone having the courage to do that.
Our hero might be fearless on a battlefield but in other ways he lacks confidence.
This is a medieval romance filled to bursting with great characters that we fall in love with on the first page and will carry on loving when they appear in other books as well.
You will need two boxes of tissues just for the prologue in this story.  If you've read any of the other books concerning this family you might know what is going to happen, but this time we are right there.  Luckily for us the main story is set a few years later and has lots of humour in it.  Older ladies out of their heads on hemp smoke and magic mushrooms is entertaining for those of us who don't have to deal with them.
I don't know how our wonderful author can give us so many books that are about the linked families but are all so different from each other.  They just keep getting better and better.
I loved it.

Adrien (The Montbryce Dynasty Book 3) by Anna Markland. Historical Romance / Medieval. Release & ARC Review.

Adrien thought be could outwit King John...
The third son returns to Montbryce after an absence of eight years. He’s been in England, masquerading as a de Quincey and trying to infiltrate King John’s inner circle. Sent by John as an emissary to a council of war in Flanders, he is unmasked as a spy.

Ensnared
As if that isn't bad enough, he finds himself trapped into marriage and forced to flee with his unwanted bride.

Her last hope
Marissa d’Ascq sees marriage to Adrien as her last hope of escaping her mother’s cruel tyranny. Little does she know the dangers she and Adrien will face in their flight.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Adrien is part of a Nobel family of Normans, but he's been living in England spying on King John for years.  Living a lie for so long is troubling for honourable men.
This is a very important part of French history.  The battles ahead will change the political map of two major kingdoms.
Marissa knows the reason her mother has sent for her cannot be good.  The woman has always hated her.  The men in the household are under her mother's iron rule.  Even Marissa's twin brother has never taken her side when his mother is cruel.
It's always exciting when we visit the Montbryce family.  Each generation has fabulous stories.  You can read each book on it's own but once you meet this family you will be tempted to read about all of them.  Our author has a very real talent for making history come alive through her historical romances.
Great fun.

I’m a Canadian author with a keen interest in genealogy. I write medieval romance about family honour, ancestry, and roots. My novels are intimate love stories full of passion and adventure.

Passion conquers whatever obstacles a hostile medieval world can throw in its path. My page-turning adventures have earned me a place on Amazon’s All-Star list.

Besides writing, I have two addictions-crosswords and genealogy, probably the reason I love research. I am a fool for cats. My husband is an entrepreneur who is fond of boasting he’s never had a job.

I live on Canada’s scenic west coast now, but I was born and raised in the UK and I love breathing life into the history of my homeland.

A Cold Wynter's Knight (De Reyne Domination Book 3) by Kathryn Le Veque. Medieval Romance Release & ARC Review.

Add To

1260 A.D. - Dogged by sinister rumors courtesy of a jealous older brother, Gage de Reyne becomes a mercenary known as the North Wind – destructive, powerful, and cold as ice. But a chance meeting with a childhood friend Lady Wynter de Thorington brings about a spark that could melt the glacier he’s become.

Or it could burn down his entire world.

Wynter knew Gage as a child and, truth be told, she had quite a fondness for the big, silent, powerful younger sibling of a petty but powerful older brother. She’s heard the rumors, how Gage was driven out because he’d tried to steal his brother’s inheritance, but she simply can’t believe it was true. The Gage she knew was, above all, an honorable lad.
An honorable lad who grew up into an honorable, tremendously skilled knight.

When Gage and Wynter’s reacquaintance goes from a spark to a roaring blaze, they make a decision that will change their lives forever. Now, Gage is accused of coercing the heiress to the powerful de Thorington fortune into marriage, fortune and power that easily rivals his brother’s. Because of this, it appears that all of the rumors have been true – but rumors can be deceiving.

In this case, Gage is far more noble than anyone gives him credit for.

Join Gage and Wynter on an impossible and thrilling adventure of battle, passion, and the quest to bring the truth to light for a man who has been very badly slandered. In the end, it’s not the rumors or his prowess on the battlefield that define Gage de Reyne.

It’s the size of his heart.

Wynter’s cold knight is anything but cold...

The de Reyne Domination Series
Guardian of Darkness
A Cold Wynter’s Knight
In Dreams
The Fallen One (part of the Dragonblade series)

Note: The House of de Reyne is an older, powerful family, pre-dating the Normans. It is said their origins lie in the Visgoths, their rise to power sometime during the Age of Darkness.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

After the death of their father Gage de Reyne is banished by his older brother who doesn't want him around.  Gage leaves to make a living selling his sword, while his brother tells lies about why he left.  Is our hero still an honourable Knight?
Lady Wynter de Thorington was only sweet sixteen when Gage vanished, but she already knew she loved him.  Years later she is still refusing to marry,  which means her younger sisters can't marry either.  Is our heroine still just a little girl putting on plays and embarrassing her parents?
This medieval romance is very emotional and full of sibling rivalry.  The characters have to settle the past before they can move on.  Have they changed too much?
As usual from this author, we are drawn into the lives of our characters from the first until the last page.
You will need a box of tissues by the end.
I loved it.
