Adrien (The Montbryce Dynasty Book 3) by Anna Markland. Historical Romance / Medieval. Release & ARC Review.

Adrien thought be could outwit King John...
The third son returns to Montbryce after an absence of eight years. He’s been in England, masquerading as a de Quincey and trying to infiltrate King John’s inner circle. Sent by John as an emissary to a council of war in Flanders, he is unmasked as a spy.

Ensnared
As if that isn't bad enough, he finds himself trapped into marriage and forced to flee with his unwanted bride.

Her last hope
Marissa d’Ascq sees marriage to Adrien as her last hope of escaping her mother’s cruel tyranny. Little does she know the dangers she and Adrien will face in their flight.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Adrien is part of a Nobel family of Normans, but he's been living in England spying on King John for years.  Living a lie for so long is troubling for honourable men.
This is a very important part of French history.  The battles ahead will change the political map of two major kingdoms.
Marissa knows the reason her mother has sent for her cannot be good.  The woman has always hated her.  The men in the household are under her mother's iron rule.  Even Marissa's twin brother has never taken her side when his mother is cruel.
It's always exciting when we visit the Montbryce family.  Each generation has fabulous stories.  You can read each book on it's own but once you meet this family you will be tempted to read about all of them.  Our author has a very real talent for making history come alive through her historical romances.
Great fun.

I’m a Canadian author with a keen interest in genealogy. I write medieval romance about family honour, ancestry, and roots. My novels are intimate love stories full of passion and adventure.

Passion conquers whatever obstacles a hostile medieval world can throw in its path. My page-turning adventures have earned me a place on Amazon’s All-Star list.

Besides writing, I have two addictions-crosswords and genealogy, probably the reason I love research. I am a fool for cats. My husband is an entrepreneur who is fond of boasting he’s never had a job.

I live on Canada’s scenic west coast now, but I was born and raised in the UK and I love breathing life into the history of my homeland.
