A Man of Legend (Lone Star Legends #3) by Linda Broday. Western Historical Romance Release & ARC Review.

Add To

Famous across Texas, the Legends stand ready to take on any challenge that comes their way...

Crockett Legend has always loved Paisley Mahone, but a family feud sure can ruin a romance. When her father waged a war against the Legends, Paisley took her father's side. They've never seen eye to eye, and the rift widened when Paisley's brother was killed in prison--after being sentenced by none other than Crockett.

Now Paisley's father is dead too, and she's headed home to mourn with the rest of her family when she runs into Crockett on the train. But when the train is held up by outlaws, it comes to Crockett and Paisley to save a young shooting victim. She never thought being close to Crockett could make her feel anything but revulsion ever again, but some second changes are worth the risk...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Paisley Mahone has returned home for her father's funeral.  According to her brother somebody poisoned their well. He blames the people from the nearby cattle ranch.
Crockett Legend is glad to see his childhood sweetheart, but she hates everything to do with his family.
A cruel man with greed in his mind,  will stop at nothing to get what he wants.
This is a western historical romance filled with lots of great characters,  even the feathered one.  There are a lot of emotional scenes and plenty of danger.
Great fun.

I'm a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of historical western romance. I live in the Texas Panhandle on land they call the Llano Estacado where the Native Americans and Comancheros once roamed and I can often hear their voices whispering in the wind. History is thick here with the ghosts of the people who settled this land. I love writing western historical romance and can't imagine doing anything else. I love a man in a Stetson and tight pants. Oh man! Those cowboys sure make my heart beat faster.

A woman shattered by events in her past, struggling to find the only family she has.

A man broken in spirit, trying to move forward after the death of his muse.

Together—on a journey fraught with danger—they begin to heal, thanks to love.

Separated from her twin during the Orphan Train selection, schoolmarm Serena Sullivan searches for her brother Bill over fifteen years. Just as she gets a solid lead on his whereabouts, she is railroaded by a crooked sheriff and set to hang for the murder of the sheriff’s best friend.

English playwright Daman Rutledge comes to the American West on business for his aristocratic brother when he witnesses a woman about to be executed. On impulse, he rescues the beautiful stranger and goes on the run with her. Along the way Daman finds the muse he’s been missing and loses his heart to the raven-haired beauty with haunting amber eyes.

As they try to escape the long arm of the law, Daman seeks to prove Serena’s innocence before it’s too late. They find love—and the truth—on a journey that changes their lives.

*This is a revised edition of Outlaw Muse, which was originally released under the pen name Lauren Linwood.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Serena Sullivan was only ten years old when she lost her family.  The orphan train to the West and a new life proved to be far different to the promise made.
Many years later Serena is at the end of her rope.  There's nothing left.
Damon Rutledge is in America's new Western states to learn about his brother,  the Earl's business of cattle ranching.
He's really not cut out for the hard work of a cowboy,  he's a playwright.
This is a fantastic historical , western adventure / romance.  The characters are fabulous.  Our hero could not be more unsuited to the task ahead.  Our brave heroine has survived the worst possible life.  She just wants a family of her own.
Really great fun.
