Our hero is a very good and honourable man, but he needs to make the other man feel devastating fear. London society is very different to the life he lived in Scotland before he knew he was in line for a title.
Lady Sophia Hawkins is part of a group of society ladies who are working behind the scenes to try and improve the lives of those less fortunate than themselves. If what they do was discovered, not everyone would forgive them.
Our heroine doesn't always think before she acts. Her mental lists often run away with her feelings. This makes for some very amusing dialogue.
This historical romance is really good fun. I loved all the characters. Some of them you might have met in previous stories in this series. Kidnapping can be fun.
