She was ballrooms and glitter. He was grit and brawn. They should have been wrong for each other, but they weren’t.

This blazing hot Brayden cousin has no idea what the beautiful, obviously refined young woman is doing in his office, but he has no intention of ever letting her go.

Lady Augusta Nesbitt only meant to deliver a book to Exeter’s surprisingly handsome magistrate, Rafe Quinton, as a favor to his Brayden cousins. She never meant to deliver her heart as well. But a mystery surrounding her aged aunt has forced them to work closely together to discover who burned down the old woman’s house. As dangerous secrets unfold, Auggie quickly realizes Rafe is the only one she can trust, not only with her heart but her very life. Will this rugged man ever see her as more than an elegant, pampered debutante?

Widower and Exeter’s tough as nails magistrate, Rafe Quinton, was having a really bad day until he encountered the beautiful Lady Auggie Nesbitt sitting at his desk with his son on her lap. Now his son is determined to make Auggie his new mother. Of course, that would require Rafe to marry her. But how can he put his heart at risk when something very bad is going on in the Nesbitt family and Auggie may be involved? Even if she is innocent, which he truly believes she is, how can he marry this elegant daughter of a marquess? She is a ton diamond, and her life is a dance, a series of glittering balls and elite soirees.

Can she find a place in her heart for a blunt, unrefined man like him?

Enjoy this next instalment in the humorous and heart warming, bestselling Regency romance Book of Love series.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rafe Quinton is the magistrate in Exeter.  It is a job that takes up too many hours in his days. Our hero is a widower with a young son,  and he's about to be involved in a hunt for a dangerous criminal.
Lady Augusta Nesbitt has come to visit her great aunt and finds disaster. The resulting investigation will bring a lot of surprises.  Very unhelpful witnesses and a connection that is distracting.
This historical romance is full of fun and love. The characters are strong, intelligent people who you might have met before in previous books in the series.  You don't have to have read any of the previous ones to enjoy this, but it will probably tempt you to.  That little red book has a lot to answer for.
Really good fun.

Enter the world of the most notorious gambling den in London, where matches are made... unusually. Welcome to the world of THE LYON'S DEN: The Black Widow of Whitehall Connected World, where the underground of Regency London thrives... and loves.

Proud Scottish brothers, Cheyne, Matthew, and Lucas are known as the Lyons of Mar. Cheyne and Matthew have fallen in love and married their brides, will Lucas be next?

Lucas Lyon thought he could escape the matchmaking schemes of his distant relation, Bessie Dove-Lyon, by waiting for the morning of his departure from London to visit her. But she is ready for him, and he leaves her Lyon’s Den to return to Edinburgh not only with the beautiful Beatrix MacGlory in tow, but her overly perfumed aunt and her aunt’s little yipping dog.

Will he survive the ten day journey in a cramped carriage with those three? More important, will he keep his hands off Beatrix? He is falling in love with her, but she is returning to Edinburgh for an arranged betrothal to another man.

Since when has that stopped Lucas from claiming what he wants?

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lucas Lyon is a Banker.  He left his visit to his aunt Bessie Dove-Lyon to his last few moments  London because she has a reputation as a matchmaker,  and he's not ready to marry.
Aunt Bessie runs the Lyon's Den gambling hall.  Many strange bets are made there,  and more than a few marriages arranged.
Miss Beatrix MacGlory has lived most of her life in London with her aunt,  with just a few visits from her Scottish father.  He pushed her away when he lost her mother,  but has now sent for her to come home.
This historical romance revolves around the different family dynamics.  One an estranged and cold relationship the other loving and lively.  Those differences make the children grow up either full of confidence or shy and uncertain.
A lovely romance full of wit and emotion.
Good fun.
